Oh, Arri. Arri came into our lives just before Rival and I knew the second I had him in my arms that he only had one testicle. Despite that, I mean really, how could I say no to him? That is, basically, the whole story with Arri: How can I say no?! Now the only mini in the household, Arri is full of attitude that I always have related more to a Chihuahua than a Dachshund. He is bossy, he is fickle, he is a thug. He really is a one-eyed, 10-pound tyrant, but gosh do we love him. Why one eye? Among his laundry list of health-related issues is dry eye which got severe enough that we had his right eye removed to save him from future suffering.

Our queen, long may she reign! Our lovely and sassy Ripple came from Terry & Jill Hoffman in Michigan. Ripple has always been a tank of a bitch, but still very feminine and sassy. Ripple loves to hunt, will take your finger off for people food, and is all around a fantastic girl who loves everyone. Ripple gave us three litters: The Sweets Litter, The Stars Align Litter, and her singleton. These days Ripple is spayed and enjoys her days driving me batty with her love for digging and, occasionally, wrestles with the grand pups.

Our beloved Alchemy. Our first bred-by champion from our first litter. Alchemy was a wild child as a baby but settled a lot as she matured. She was special from the get-go and has given us so many fantastic puppies. Alchemy has truly been instrumental in this breeding program. As a mother, she has proven phenomenal and does a great job helping raise puppies. While Alchemy's time in the whelping box comes to a close, we still have goals to achieve together and I am excited to work toward those with her. In 2023, Alchemy was awarded by DCA for being the #4 top-producing female longhair and has produced enough CH offspring to earn her ROMX. We are aiming for her ROMO! Alchemy has produced the following litters: The Magic Litter, The Chemistry Litter, and The TikTok Famous Litter.

I owe my start in standards to Rival. Without him, there would not be Endachs as it is today despite Rival, in the end, not having much play within my own program. Rival has fantastic drive and natural hunting ability that has always helped steer the focus of this kennel. Rival has many brags to his name and together we have accomplished many firsts. First AKC champion, first field champion, first dual champion - the list goes on. I owe so much to him, for how far I've come as a handler and for showing me from the start that well-balanced Dachshund that I am always striving for.

Nito came to us from Russia post-Covid and also following Rival being deemed sterile. Ultimately, Rival proved to not be sterile but before that, we welcomed Nito into the family. Very closely related to Rival, it didn't surprise me at all that Nito was such a great and easy addition to the household. Niito sired our Sweets litter and has had a handful of other litters as well. I could have hung onto Nito, but ultimately decided I'd love to see him benefit another program and also to get to do some more sporty things! These days, Nito has moved to Alaska and is a part of the Datura Dachshunds family!

Our beloved kooky Rucy! Ruca came to us from Russia just before Covid shutdowns. She was never cut out for the show dog life but she did enjoy sporty things and had a lot of go. Ruca is the mother to our Sass Litter, which was her only before deciding that she was not going to be what we were looking for to move forward with.

If you asked me about the foundation of Endachs, I'd tell you that Ender is what my kennel name is after. I'd tell you that Rival and Ripple were the on-paper foundation dogs. But if you asked me on a deeper level... I'd tell you that Okami built this kennel and is the true foundation. Hers was the first litter and a good chunk of our active dogs are descended from her. She stamped a type on my dogs and passed along her wonderful attitude. Okami never got to get into showing, aside from a B Match, due to seriously breaking her leg at around 10 months. The healing wasn't ideal, despite best efforts, but her happiness was the main priority. And speaking of happy, there is no happier dog than Okami.

Oh, Ender. Ender was the dog that got me into showing. Taking the route of standards, Ender was ultimately not destined for use in my program. He did sire several outside litters but that was ended the second he was diagnosed with IVDD. Ender thankfully bounced back with careful medication and restriction and never actually went down in the back completely. This dog taught me a lot and helped me find a passion that dare I say will last a lifetime. For all that Ender has done for me, I did the kindest thing I could do and let him retire to the best life in Florida where he is so loved and spoiled. Ender lives with Okami, Artemis (an Okami grandbaby), and Jerry (one of Ender's sons). It is never an easy choice to rehome a retired dog, but I am a firm believer in doing what is best for the dog.
